All-powerful God, we are born under the ancient yoke of sin;
grant that the birth of your only Son according to the flesh may deliver us and
set us free. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and
reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen
