O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,
reaching from one end to the other mightily,
and sweetly ordering all things:
Come and teach us the way of prudence

O Love of God, descend into my heart;
Enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling, And scatter there Your cheerful beams. Dwell in the soul that longs to be Your temple; Water that barren soil overrun with weeds and briars And lost for lack of cultivating. Make it fruitful with Your dew.
Morning Prayer — St. Augustine

1 Praise the Lord!
   Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens!
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
    praise him according to his excellent greatness!
3 Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
4 Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
5 Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!
