Be mindful, O Lord, of those who travel by land, by sea, and by air; of the old and young, the sick, the suffering, the sorrowing, the afflicted, the captives, the needy and the poor; and upon them all send forth Thy mercies, for Thou art the Giver of all good things.
Orthodox Christian liturgy

1 Praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD from the heavens,
praise him in the heights above.
2 Praise him, all his angels,
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
3 Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars.
4 Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for he commanded and they were created.
6 He set them in place for ever and ever;
he gave a decree that will never pass away.
Psalm 148:1-6 New International Version

Grant us, O Lord, to pass this day in gladness and peace, without stumbling and without stain, that reaching the eventide victorious over all temptation through your even present aid, we may praise you, the eternal God, Governor of all things and blessed for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
(From the "Mozarabic Sacramentary”)

1 Praise the LORD.
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!
2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
4 He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
6 The LORD sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.

Father,
You are all I really need.
O Lord, there are so many things out there that promise success: books, speakers, and classes that promise me a successful outcome to my endeavors. Thank You for helping me to cut through the hype and take those things that help me to carry out Your vision for my life. And thank You for reminding me that all You ask is that I work hard and do my best for You. Amen.
(From "Everyday Prayers for Everyday Cares")

1 Praise the Lord!
Let all that I am praise the Lord.
2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live.
I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.
3 Don’t put your confidence in powerful people;
there is no help for you there.
4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth,
and all their plans die with them.
5 But joyful are those who have the God of Israel[a] as their helper,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
Psalm 146 1-5 New Living Translation

Father,
You are my Strength.
Whenever I need it, I know that Your strength is available to me. It is always there to empower me to do the right thing, to continue to fight the good fight of faith. I come to You right now, in need. Thank You, Lord, for hearing me and filling me with supernatural power to do what I must do. Thank You for giving me all I need to accomplish Your plan for my life. Amen.
(From "Everyday Prayers for Everyday Cares")

1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

Father,
I find renewal in You.
I am tired and stressed. Therefore, I come to You for new strength. Every morning Your mercies are fresh, and every night I rest in Your care. Though my day may frazzle me, when I take time to be with You I am refreshed and renewed. You calm the storms of my life, and I find peace in Your presence. Thank You, Lord, for pouring out Your grace on my life again today. Amen.
(From "Everyday Prayers for Everyday Cares")

6 Break off their fangs, O God!
Smash the jaws of these lions, O Lord!
7 May they disappear like water into thirsty ground.
Make their weapons useless in their hands.[b]
8 May they be like snails that dissolve into slime,
like a stillborn child who will never see the sun.
9 God will sweep them away, both young and old,
faster than a pot heats over burning thorns.
10 The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged.
They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 Then at last everyone will say,
“There truly is a reward for those who live for God;
surely there is a God who judges justly here on earth.”

When life gets hard, Lord, I sometimes wish the hurt would end or that I could run away from it. Pressure doesn't feel good, and I simply want to escape. But even when I feel a lot of pain, remind me that none of it is out of Your control. Though I may not understand pain's purpose, You have allowed this into my life to create something good.
When I face hardship, help me through it -- then restore me to life. Instead of leaving me in the valley, bring me up the mountainside so I can see Your plan anew. Amen.
(From "Light for My Path - Prayers & Promises")

1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

Father, I am grateful for the invitation to cease being ruled by unrighteous thoughts that lead me astray. Help me not be fooled by the righteous garment, the disguise I often try to hide in. Help me return to you as my forgiving Lord who calls me by name to turn and live my salvation. Amen.
(From "Daily Texts")

1 My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
3 How long will you assault a man?
Would all of you throw him down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
4 They fully intend to topple him from his lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.
5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

9 You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.
12 The grasslands of the desert overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness.
13 The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.
