Kind and Heavenly Father, we wait with eager longing for the final fulfillment of your promise given to us in Christ Jesus of our union with you and with one another. Guide us in the ELCA, that by your Spirit we may remain faithful to you; and in that faithfulness be joined ever closer to one another. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
