The Presentation of our Lord

Almighty and ever living God, we humbly pray that, as your only-begotten Son was on this day presented in the temple, so may we be presented to you with pure and clean hearts byJesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
(from the Gregorian Sacramentary)

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty—
he is the King of glory.
Psalm 24 New International Version
