Father,
Death cannot separate me from Your love.
I know that death is the final enemy -- one which You have vanquished. Though I do not understand the pain and suffering I see in this world, I set my heart free to take hold of Your promise of eternal life. Your Son came to carry the debt of my sin and guarantee to me that even death -- the final enemy -- cannot separate me from Your love. Amen.
(From "Everyday Prayers for Everyday Cares")

5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62 New International Version
